When I began to pack to move across country,  my friends urged me to sort my books and choose only what I really, really loved.  I did. I brought 15 boxes of books with me.  After all, within those pages are adventure, mystery, information, excitement, and friends...Friends such as Anna Pigeon ( Nevada Barr), Jack Ryan ( Tom Clancy), Louis Kincaid and Joe Frye ( PJ Parrish), Jim Qwilleran, Koko and Yum Yum ( Lilian Jackson Braun), Ken McCoy, Ernie, and "Pick"( W. E. B. Griffin), Judith McMonigle Flynn ( Mary Daheim), John Rebus ( Ian Rankin), Harry Bosch ( Michael Connelly), dear Father Tim ( Jan Karon), Travis Magee (John McDonald) and many others. 

Since becoming a member of PaperBackSwap I have met new characters such as Ben Kincaid( William Bernhardt), MacLaren and Joe Riddley Yarbrough (Patricia Sprinkle), and Clare Fergusson and Police Chief Russ Van Alstyne ( Julia Spencer-Fleming).  I find books to help me learn how to garden (apparently I'm not getting it:  I've had only limited success with several big plant "funerals" along the way), how to get more out of this computer, and ideas for updating this new house.  

I wish for everyone the absolutely exquisite pleasure of reading!
